Our eye doctors are licensed optometrists who can perform your annual eye examinations, prescribe glasses and contact lenses, and provide medical treatment of common eye diseases. They can also answer your questions about laser vision correction (LASIK), arrange for your LASIK procedure and provide pre- and post-operative LASIK examinations.

Richard G. Stegen, O.D.
Dr. Stegen has been practicing in the Upper Valley for 10 years. Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Stegen attended Rutgers University, receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then attended Rutgers’ Graduate School at New Brunswick (N.J.) where he worked on a Master’s Degree in zoology and physiology while teaching undergraduate students in Comparative Anatomy and other courses. Dr. Stegen received his doctorate in optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1990. After graduation, he performed a residency in hospital-based optometry in the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Lyons, New Jersey.

Currently, Dr. Stegen practices general optometry, with special interests in contact lenses and laser vision correction. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and member of the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Optometric Association. In his spare time, Dr. Stegen enjoys playing hockey, biking, woodworking and computers.

Eugene S. Baylus, O.D.

Dr. Baylus has been practicing in the Upper Valley for 10 years. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Dr. Baylus attended the University of Maryland.

Dr. Baylus received his doctorate in optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA in 1992. He now lives in Concord, NH, and maintains a private practice in Manchester, NH. Dr. Baylus continues to serve his loyal patients in the West Lebanon office one day a week.

Currently, Dr. Baylus practices general optometry, with special interests in family care.
In his spare time, Dr. Baylus enjoys his family, photography, motorcycles, and working with computers.
